The LAMB Network, Inc. (LAMB), is a multiciltural nonprofit organization that seeks to champion change by positively impacting the lives of young people in our community. We recognize the insurmountable disadvantages that impair their ability to lead happy, healthy, and productive lives. The lack of proper guidance and support has left them vulnerable and unprepared to handle life’s many challenges. The reality is that the state of our young people is so critical that it demands im-mediate attention. Poor choices and self-destructive behaviors have compromised their lifestyles, their health, and the safety of the entire community.
LAMB is structured with the village concept and operates with the support of the community, including churches, schools, families and local businesses to produce leaders. The comprehensive program promotes personal growth and provides an environment of guidance and support through professional mentoring, educational exposure, social and civic awareness, and physical challenges. Our strategies for character, team and relationship building are focused on developing strong leadership skills.
Recognizing all of the deficits and barriers that our young people struggle with everyday, LAMB works to meet their needs. Our practical and realistic approach to addressing the mat- ters of everyday life is essential in keeping our members engaged in our program. We utilize our extensive community outreach network to provide solutions that eliminate obstacles and open doors to success.
These young men and women are the heads of tomorrow’s households and the future leaders of our community. This is not only their struggle, but it is our struggle, as well. As a community, we must reach out, lift up and rally around our young people to ensure that they live lives in which hopes, dreams, success, and happiness are realities. These young lambs are lost and they need the lions in our society to step up and lead them. Together, we can all be champions of change.
